Mastix P and Mastix Matt spirit Gum products have been on the market for years. These products were designed for short term lace wig wear and it was originally worn by actors. Mastix P Spirit Gum is used to protect your adhesive from perspiration. Mastix Matt is used to reduce the shine from your adhesive. Each of these products can be used alone, together, or in conjuction with your favorite adhesive. As with any adhesive, always perform a skin test 24-48 hours prior to your lace wig application.

Lace Wig 101
What is the difference between french and swiss lace?
The difference is simple, french lace is more durable which means it is stronger and a little thicker. Swiss lace is not as durable as french lace. It is finer and considered frigile but it disappears better into the skin. Swiss lace is not recommended for first time lace wig wearers.
What lace color is right for me?
Transparent lace

I have a hard time cutting my lace, is there an easier way?
Yes, you can use an eye brow or manicure scissor to cut the lace. This way you are only cutting small parts of the lace at a time which will make it easier and neater.
How do I get my nape to stay secured?
Many people have a problem with the nape area that is because we constantly moving our necks through out the day. Securing the nape can easily be accomplished by applying an extra layer of adhesive along with adhesive tape. Be sure to tie the perimeter of your hair down for at least 5 hours after your application.
Can I dye, perm or relax the hair?
We do not suggest that you process the hair anymore. Your hair in its original state is virgin Indian Remy hair. It is then processed to achieve textures, curls etc. Just like your real hair it is not a good idea to continue to process your hair after it already has been processed.
Can I part the wig in anywhere?
Yes! All of our in stock and custom made wigs are “free style” unless otherwise specified. This means that the hair can be parted and styled anywhere just as your real hair would including high pony tails.
Will my hair line be damaged due to adhesives?
No, as long as the correct products and procedures are used to remove your lace wig unit your hair line will not be damaged.
Do I have to shave my hair line to wear a lace wig and will the hair grow back?
This depends on your preference, some people do not have to shave their hair lines back in order to wear a lace wig. However, if you have a low hair line or a hairy forehead you may want to shave your hair line back acheive a natural look.
How long can I keep my wig on?
Lace wigs can be kept on as long as the adhesive allows. However it is not recommended that you wear your lace wig beyond 2-3 weeks at a time. It is easy for bacteria to build up by the adhesive and your natural oil, perspiration etc.
How do I choose the right adhesive and tape for my application?
This depends on the length of time that you will like to wear your lace wig unit. Adhesives can hold from 3 days to 6 weeks, be sure to know this before purchase. You may have to try a few different adhesives and/or techniques of applying before your find one that is perfect for you. This is because every one’s body chemistry is different and what may work for one person may not necessarily work for another.
Can I wear my lace wig when I workout?
Absolutely, you can wear your lace wig during any kind of physical activity. Be sure to tie your hair down while you work out. Your adhesive may loosen a little as our body temperature rise. However, it will set back in place as your body temperature cools down. Tying your hair down during physical activity will help keep everything in place.
Can I go swimming with my lace wig on?
Yes! Be sure to use a very strong bond if you choose to go swimming. It is also important to wash and condition your hair as soon as possible after swimming. Chlorine and salt water can dry the hair out.
