How to wash your lace front wig
Washing and conditioning your lace wig on a regular basis is important to preserve and extend the life of your lace wig unit. It is also important to use a good shampoo and conditioner for your lace wig to keep it soft and subtle.
To start you will need a wig brush or wide tooth comb and a mannequin or a foam wig head (optional). You can attach your unit to the foam head with straight pins.
1. Remove all tangles and knots by combing or brushing hair from ends and gradually work your way upward until hair is tangle free.
2. Fill your sink with luke warm water and apply a small amount of shampoo to water and dilute it.
3. Saturate your lace wig into the sing and swish hair back and forth into water until clean. Do not rub the hair as this will cause unwanted tangling.
4. Empty sink and hold your unit under faucet with luke warm water to remove all shampoo.
You unit is now clean and is ready for conditioning. To condition, apply and dissolve deep conditioner in the same manner as shampooing into a sink full of water. You may also let you unit sit for a few minutes. Use luke warm water to rinse the conditioner out, never use hot water. Ensure that all debris has been removed thoroughly. You may now towel blot and lay flat to dry to ensure that your unit will not lose it’s shape from hanging.
